Lage Raho Musharraf Bhai

The writing bug seems to have bitten many of the people in power that they pen their so called experience/memoir on highly sensitive issues. First, it was Jaswant Singh with his 'A Call To Honour' where much before the launch of the book he created sensation by mentioning of the presence of a mole in the PMO's office, the mole eventually turned out to be a birth mark below the right eye of Brajesh Mishra the then National Security Advisor and Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.

Now, it is the turn of Pervez Musharraf to create controversies through his In the Line of Fire, expressing his anger at being threatened by the Americans after the 9/11 attacks, which the White House has categorically denied, but this was just enough to create a soar in the sale of the book. The most capturing line in the book is a statement from the US deputy secretary of state, Richard Armitage threatening Musharraf to be prepared to be bombed back to the Stone Age if Pakistan supported the terrorists. (Keep me wondering what age Pakistan is now in!!).

The other much awaited book of the century - 'Rabri Train Cattle' by apna Laloo Prasad which pays tribute to the three main love in his life and Osama Bin Laden's 'Peace and Tranquility' are slated for release next year. Incidentally, Osama Bin Laden in his recorded message on Al-Jazera television said that he wishes to release the book by giving the first copy to President Bush and the ceremony would be help in the Petronas Towers. (Hope Osama does not try to park his flight in the basement parking there!!!).
